COLOURFUL PARKS IN TOKYO.

Spring time in Japan is always colourful and fascinating. "Sakura"(Cherry blossom)season in early April followed by many other colourful flowers, like the Azalea, Hydrangeas and many others.
This picture of the "Sakura' in full bloom was taken on the first week of April in the Iwatsuki Castle park, Tokyo.
The landscape changed to green as the "Sakura" (Cherry blossom) disappeared on the 3rd week of April.
While another popular park, "Rikugien" (六義園) is now bursting with red "Azalea"

Hydrangeas are now in season. The best park to view them is at Hondoji (本土寺)Tokyo. There are various types of Hydrangeas, like lacecaps, oakleaf and annabelle to please the eyes.

In Hondoji, there is a superb Iris garden. The best time to view irises is from mid June to early July.

A big "Thank you" to Miura san for providing me with the beautiful pictures. Please enjoy!
