A DAY IN BRISBANE

Spending half a day in Redcliffe Peninsula, a popular seaside resort was worthwhile. It was just about 30 minutes drive from downtown Brisbane.
Redcliffe has a 22 kilometres of soft sandy beaches, a perfect destination to enjoy the combination of sun, sand, sea and seafood.
  The beautiful Norfolk Pine trees.
A great beach indeed.
An old Cottonwood tree providing some good shape.

It's interesting to watch some of the birds at the beach and enjoy some photographing.
A seagull dancing into the wind.
A White Ibis
A magpie, one of Australia's most highly-regarded songbirds. I was told that the magpies are friendly birds, but during nesting season, they may attack any "intruders"  within their territory.
A common water bird -  white faced Heron.
Rainbow Lorikeet, a common parrot in Australia.
This noisy speed boat caught my eyes.

We had lunch in a Fish and chips restaurant at the seaside. Redcliffe is popular place for seafood especially fish and chips.
A plate of fish, chips, calamari, tartare, sweet corns and lemon.
A bottled passion fruit juice - a popular local drink.

Returning to Brisbane in the evening and headed for Sunnybank, a small suburb in Brisbane. We had dinner at the Malaya Corner restaurant one of the many Asian restuarants in the area.
Majority of the shops here are restaurants.
"Char keow teow with beef slices.
Dry curry mee.
 Fried "Tofu" Malaysian style.

It was a great way to end the day with a Malaysian dinner after enjoying the sun, sea, sand, birds and a superb seafood lunch.
