HONG KONG - DAY 1

We flew with Malaysia Airlines to Hong Kong last week for a short break. Business was good for the Airlines as the flight was almost full.
Lunch was served on this 2 hours and 55 minutes flight.
I was disappointed with their inflight meals on this short International sector. The salad and main course were of low quality and unappetizing. They did not live up to their 5-star product and service standards.
Landed Hong Kong on schedule at 14:30
Queuing up for City Bus to our hotel. One way fare:  HKD35 Per Person.
The bus ride was convenient as there was a huge self service baggage rack right near the bus door.
It took about 40 minutes to get into the city via the 3-lane expressway.
Our accommodation, the 487 rooms Metro Park hotel - Kowloon.
Hotel lobby on the first floor.
The conformable family room with free Wi-Fi and 4 star amenities.

In the evening, we walked the busy streets of Mong Kok and ventured into the "Ladies' market where bargain goods were sold in a long stretch od stalls.
It was crowded.

Later, we settled down in a medium size "Chaozhou" restaurant for dinner.
Chicken legs in Chinese herb with boiled peanuts.
Abalones and mushrooms special.
Braised goose(滷水鵝), a Hong Kong favourite.
Enjoying the night view after dinner.
On the way back to the hotel, we stopped for the popular Hong Kong milk tea in a small cafe. The Chinese crullers (You Char Kwai or 油炸粿)was delicious.
