Hainanese Chicken rice is one of my favourite. A dish
adapted from early Chinese immigrants to Malaya and Singapore,
originally from the Hainan province in southern China. It became popular especially for lunch in food courts and coffee shops.
Most chicken rice vendors in town offer an alternative of roasted chicken. I prefer the regular poached or steamed chicken.
In the same shop, there is also a "Pan Mee" 板面 ( Hakka flat noodle soup) stall. I like the taste of anchovy broth, topped with crispy fried anchovies, meat balls and pork slices.
This coffee shop is located at the Jalan Lintas about 300 meters from the Lido junction. It's not too difficult to find, as it is a corner lot that could be easily seen from the road.

I used to frequent this Chicken rice stall in a coffee shop near my house.
A side dish of chicken liver, giblets and braised eggs would make a good lunch.
A bowl with noodles.
