THE OCEAN KING SEFOOD - SANDAKAN.

If you are in Sandakan, try out this seafood restaurant. It is located about 15 minutes drive from the town center. They have nice selection of fresh fish, sea shells, crabs , prawns, lobsters and etc. Take a Taxi - the restaurant is located in Batu Sapi seaside.

 We drove to this restaurant for dinner with a friend on our last day in Sandakan. 

Fresh and delicious - these prawns were alive when we selected them from the display tank.

 The clam soup was superb.  

 Their signature dish -  steamed fish.

 The popular stir fried mud crabs with salted egg york. 

Last but not least, a stir fried local vegetables. Between the three of us, we managed with 5 dishes and rice. 

It is highly recommended if you are keen on seafood. This is a simple local restaurant,  not the high end or the cleanest but better than many others in town. In terms of pricing , it is relatively   cheap for foreign visitors but may be a little bit expensive for the locals.
