"Chap Goh Meh" is the final day of the Lunar New Year celebrated by all Chinese with feast and offerings. We celebrated this day with a"big" feast in the evening to mark the end of the new year celebration.
One day before Chap Goh Meh, we went shopping to buy the neccessities.
Queuing up to buy roasted pork and duck at the most popular outlet in town. The feast ! Best of the best: Chinese "duck liver" and " lean pork" sausages. Stir fried prawns, vegetable and cashew nuts, Cantonese style Stir fried " Kau-fu" with assorted vegetables, Shanghainese style. High "cholesterol" dish - "Roasted pork, BBQ pork and pork stuffed in eggs A combination of mushrooms, sea cucumbers, abalone and broccoli.Sweet and sour pomfretSteamed chicken Hainanese style One day before Chap Goh Meh, we went shopping to buy the neccessities.
