SIGNAL HILL

Signal hill is the highest hill in Kota Kinabalu city. It is a popular place for visitors to catch a panoramic view of the city, Tengku Abdul Rahman Marine Park and the South China sea. This is the ideal place to take photographs. In the old days, this hill was used to signal ships approaching the harbour. This observation platform is situated on the edge of Signal Hill. City view
Pulua Gaya, the biggest island in the Tengku Abdul Rahman Marine park. The road leading to the observation platform is narrow and winding, limited to medium size vehicles and below. To get to this place, visitors have to use a taxi or join the local city tour using mini coach since this road is off the normal bus route.

CHINESE NEW YEAR MOOD

Yesterday, after attending church service, we thought of having "Yam Cha". However, when we arrived at the restaurant, it was not only a full house but with customers occupying the walkway of the shopping arcade. Judging from the size of the crowd, I just wonder if there was really a worldwide economy downturn. Then, I realized that people were still in the Chinese New year mood enjoying "Yam Cha" with families and friends.

Unable to find any seat, we ended up having Fried "beehon" and "Payau mein" in nearby restaurant. Fried beehon with fish slices, vegetable and egg Fried Cantonese noddle with cabbage and deer meat
