KUALA LUMPUR - NAIROBI IN 18 HOURS 30 MINUTES

It took 18.5 hours for me to get to Nairobi from Kuala Lumpur flying Ethiopian Airlines. The flight took off 2 hours 35 minutes late at 02:00 on the morning of 30 August.
It's a B767-300ER for the Kuala Lumpur - Bangkok - Addis Ababa sectors.
There was no personal screen for inflight entertainment like movies and  video games.
Movie was available in the bulkhead.
Supper was served on the KL-Bangkok sector at 02:45 in the morning!
Followed by another one at 05:00 when we departed from Bangkok. 2 hours before landing, breakfast was served. However I skipped it.
Landed in Addis Ababa Bole International at about 08:30 in the morning and parked at the outer bay..
 Terminal 1.
All passengers were transferred by bus to Terminal 2..
 Departure hall of Terminal 2.
This airport is mostly used by Ethiopian Airlines.
It's a B787 Dreamliner from Addis Ababa to Nairobi.     .
My first time boarding the Dreamliner.
The Ethiopian Airlines' old work horses - the DC3s were left idle at the side of the taxiway.

 Good bye Addis Ababa!
It's a 3-3-3 EY cabin equiped with the latest inflight entertainment system.
Lunch for provided for this 1 hour 30 minutes flight.

Approaching Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International airport.
Landed 5 minutes ahead of schedule.
I could the burnt main terminal as a massive fire destroyed the arrival hall in early August.
It's amazing to see so many white tents in the apron. I later found out that all passengers had to go through passport control and customs clearance inside these tents.
After Immigration, all passengers were directed to collect their baggage in this "Baggage tent".
Believe it or not, there was no arrival hall - it's open air all the way to the waiting crowd.
I put up at this Eka hotel 25 minutes from the airport.
A comfortable superior room.

It was a tiring flight all the way. I did not enjoy the flight from Kuala Lumpur to Addis Ababa but I was happy with the B787 Dreamliner. .
