It's my first experience traveling with Malindo Air from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur and return last week.
Malindo Air, a joint venture of Indonesia-based Lion Air and Malaysia's National Aerospace and Defence Industries (NADI) is operating B737-900ER, the latest member of the B737 airplane family.
This B737-900ER is a two-class configured aircraft with 12 business class and168 economy seats featuring newly upholstered leather seats, LED mood
lighting and a spacious feel due to streamlined sidewalls and
overhead bins.
The generous seat pitches of 32 inches in the economy class.
Free Inflight entertainment - personal touch screen TV in every seat. Their programs come with latest Asian and Hollywood blockbusters, interactive games and flight information.
Free water and biscuit for this 2 hours 30 minutes flight.
Landed at KLIA2 on time. It was a very long walk to the arrival hall. The terminal looked grand but definitely not user-friendly.
Walking through long passages, turning corners and up-down stairs, it took me more than 25 minutes to reach the arrival hall.
Departing from KLIA2 is also another hassle if one is not familiar with
the terminal.
The concourse area at level 3.
Following the signboard to the check-in and departure area.
Entering the check-in counters area.
The main information board indicating flight check-in and departure gate.
Malindo Air check-in counters at "W"
The crowded AirAsia counters.
Gate J and K are for Domestic departures.
Another long walk !
A full flight on the way back to Kota kinabalu
Home journey began!
Currently, Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia and Malindo Air are the 3 Airlines serving Kota Kinabalu-Kuala Lumpur route. I selected Malindo Air because of the low fare which came with 20 KG free baggage allowance, inflight entertainment and free snack. In term of cabin and seating comfort, Malindo Air is no doubt the winner with their extra leg room.
