KUNDASANG MARKET

The Kundasang market is located by the road side about 6 kms from Mt. Kinabalu Park on the way to Poring Hot Spring. The local farmers here sell all sorts product ranging from fresh vegetables to flowers, fruits and even raw honey. We made a brief stop on the way to Celyn Resort.
On a clear day, the spectacular view of Mt. Kinabalu is breathtaking from the Kundasang market. We were unlucky as the thick cloud had already curtained the mountain off when we arrived . We could only catch a glimpse of the peak. Vegetables stalls with plenty of green

Daily harvest from the farms in the Kundasang valley.

Raw honey

I love the colour of this Poinsettia.

A variety of Chrysantamums

Hibiscus with a unique colour

Red chillis

The price tag for the day was from RM10-15 per pot.

Durian in season

The fruit stalls corner

This is a "must stop" market place for local visitors to Mt. Kinabalu park and Poring Hot Spring as the product here are usually much cheaper than those in the city.
